Nieuwe directeur voor het Steunpunt Goederenstromen
Christa Sys took over the directorship of the Research Centre Commodity Flows (Steunpunt Goederenstromen) hosted by the Department of Transport and Regional Economics. Her doctoral thesis makes an effort in estimating the competitive nature of liner shipping markets. She will publicly defend her PhD on the topic of ‘Inside the box: assessing competitive conditions, concentration and the market structure of container liner shipping industry’ on 10 December 2010 at the University of Ghent.
Next to it, she teaches at the University College Ghent, Faculty of Applied Business (Member of Ghent University Association). Her educational activities focus on the different modes of transport (road-, rail-, air transport, inland transportation and maritime transport).
